Experts and analysts predict huge upside for Bitcoin in 2025
Since its early days, Bitcoin has had price lows of less than $1 per coin, and all-time highs of over $73,000 USD or $104,000 AUD, which it hit in March 2025. As of Oct. 22, Bitcoin’s price is about $67,000 USD or just over $100,000 AUD.
Experts and analysts think the price still has quite a way to go yet, with 2025 predicted to see new highs for the largest cryptocurrency by market cap.
Cathie Wood, CEO and chief investment officer at investment management firm Ark Invest Management, thinks the price could go even higher.
In July, she predicted Bitcoin's price could surge 5,837%, hitting a peak of $3.8 million USD or $5.6 million AUD per coin by 2030, based on the rising levels of institutional adoption.
Bitcoin researcher Sminston With, who calculates Bitcoin's cycle top price using a quantile regression model, thinks the cycle top will hit in November 2025.
In an Oct.1 post on X, the researcher said he thinks the price target around this time would be about $275,000 USD or $411,000 AUD.

Michael Saylor, Bitcoin bull and executive chairman of business intelligence firm MicroStrategy, also has high hopes for the price of Bitcoin going into 2025 and beyond.
In a keynote speech on July 26 at the Bitcoin 2024 conference, he predicted the price could reach a staggering $13 million USD per coin, or $19.4 million AUD by 2045. As of September, MicroStrategy holds more than 250,000 Bitcoin in its vaults, worth over $17 billion.

Global asset management firm AllianceBernstein released a June research note predicting Bitcoin’s price is moving upward, with the world's top cryptocurrency likely to reach $200,000 USD or $298,000 AUD by September 2025.
According to the firm, the crypto market is on the cusp of a bull cycle that will accelerate it to new heights.
In the research note, AllianceBernstein speculates Bitcoin’s price would continue to rise beyond 2025, with the upward trajectory pushing it to $500,000 USD or $751,000 AUD per coin in 2029 and beyond $1 million by the end of 2033.
Comparison website Finder gathered a panel of experts in April, bringing together 31 crypto industry specialists who predicted the price of Bitcoin would continue to rise for the rest of 2024 and into 2025.
Finder’s experts, on average, predicted a price of over $109,000 USD or $150,000 AUD before the end of 2024.

However, by 2025, they think the price could surpass $150,000 USD or $225,000 AUD and continue until it hits a new peak of over $500,000 by 2030.
Crypto media outlet Crypto News thinks the Bitcoin price will continue to grow through the back end of 2024 as well, before reaching new highs in 2025.
Blake Cassidy, CEO of Bamboo, thinks that despite the price of Bitcoin being highly speculative, the new year could see a breakout.
"Bitcoin's price prediction for 2025 remains highly speculative, but several estimates suggest a range of potential outcomes," he said.
"I suspect that Bitcoin could reach a range of around $150,000 USD or $223,000 AUD per coin, however, if the Trump administration purchases one million bitcoins as indicated, the prediction should be much higher."
While forecasts vary, ranging from conservative targets of $135,000 USD ($202,000 AUD) to speculative figures in the million, what's clear is that Bitcoin’s journey is far from over. With macroeconomic shifts, evolving regulation, and wider adoption of crypto-focused financial products, Bitcoin's role as a store of value and hedge against traditional market volatility grows stronger. Whether it meets or exceeds the ambitious predictions, 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year that could redefine Bitcoin’s position in the global financial landscape. 🌱
